It's not enough to say that I enjoy my work. I love creating something out of the ordinary, and the challenge of trying something new. That's why I prize custom work. One of my real strengths is communicating with the homeowner or interior designer, working together to come up with innovative solutions to their problems and giving them options. I've been in the carpentry trade for more than 25 years. While I'm based in the northeast, I've done jobs as far away as San Francisco, New York and West Virginia. My skills range from making original hand made furniture, both period and contemporary pieces, to building and installing stairways, porches, cabinets, mantels and doing trim work. I'm also available for high-end installation work. Future work includes designing and building an entertainment center, which I'll adapt for the corner of an 1800's farmhouse. For that project, I will design a piece that looks more like an armoire than an entertainment center. Other upcoming work involves building a dining room table out of the original chestnut planks from an old house on the homeowner's West Virginia property.
